The Best of Bingham: Congratulations Laura Ciriello-Benedict and Sahara Williams
On December 15, 2011, hundreds of NAWBO-Indy members, partners, and supporters gathered at the JW Marriot in Indianapolis to celebrate another year of success and to recognize the 2011 Visionary Award and Entrepreneur Scholarship winners. The event was spirited (a choral invocation performed by a local youth choir), star-studded (think Mayor Ballard, Governor Daniels, Butler basketball coach Brad Stevens and Olympian Jackie Joyner-Kersee, to name a few), and inspirational.

The Visionary Awards, which “honor individuals for their achievements as business owners and leaders in the Indianapolis community,” reminded all in attendance that our city is home to world-class entrepreneurs and small (and large) business owners who just happen to be women.
Bingham Greenebaum Doll LLP, the Bingham Greenebaum Doll Women’s Forum and the firm’s Diversified Business Solutions Team are proud to recognize two of our clients among this year’s winners – Laura Ciriello-Bendict and Sahara Williams!
We are proud of Laura Ciriello-Benedict, winner of the Avatar of the Year Award and a client of our firm. Laura is the owner of Ciriello Plumbing Co., Inc., a licensed plumbing contractor, in Indianapolis. Laura’s success in the plumbing industry (one that is only 0.9 percent female) is astounding – she has grown her company despite the economy, utilizes new technology and provides excellent service to her customers. (On this last point, I speak from personal experience… I am the proud owner of a shiny, new and QUIET garbage disposal system!) She is also a leader within the industry and serves as President of the Indiana Association of Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors. To learn more about Laura’s award, click here. We are also proud to recognize Sahara Williams, a client of our firm and the recipient of the 2011 Entrepreneur Scholarship. The $1,200 scholarship is awarded to “break through traditional barriers encountered by women business owners” and gives recipients the opportunity to attend executive educational programs to enhance their ability to succeed in business. We know that Sahara will use this opportunity to improve her already thriving business – Enginuity Engineering & Management. Learn more about Sahara and her business on the NAWBO website and on her company website.
The Bingham Greenebaum Doll Women’s Forum is proud to sponsor NAWBO and support its efforts to bring top women business owners together to help grow their businesses and improve our city.
The Best of Bingham is a series of posts by the Bingham Greenebaum Doll Women’s Forum recognizing the professional and community successes of our members, our colleagues and our clients.
