Moses Vejil

Moses Vejil concentrates his practice in business advisory matters. Moses earned his undergraduate degree from Harvard University in 1998. After graduating from Harvard, Moses worked for over two years as an information technology consultant with IMRglobal Corp. (currently CGI Group) in its Boston and Tokyo offices. He worked on system integration and database management projects with the firm’s financial services clients. Upon returning to the United States from Japan, he crossed over into the environmental consulting field and worked for Tetra Tech, Inc. for approximately three years in its Pasadena, CA office. While at Tetra Tech, he worked on environmental investigation and remediation projects with the firm’s port, aerospace, and entertainment clients. In 2005, Moses entered a joint degree program that enabled him to earn an M.B.A. from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth and J.D. from the Indiana University Maurer School of Law. During his time at IU, he served as president of the Latino Law Student Association and was a member of Phi Delta Phi. While at Tuck, Moses was a member of the Sustainable Business Club, Hispanic-American Student Association, and Association of Christian Tuck Students. He completed the joint degree program in June of 2009.

Court of Appeals Reverses IURC Decision Regarding BP Whiting Refinery

On Monday, the Indiana Court of Appeals reversed a controversial decision by the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission regarding the BP Whiting refinery.  The Court of Appeals reversed the IURC and held that BP was not a public utility when it sold electricity to Marsulex, and that BP did not violate the Service Area Assignments Act.  The Court of Appeals ruled, however, that BP is a public utility when it sells water to the City of Whiting.
